Review of 1st Half of PSL 2023

  Pakistan Super League is going on in full mojo and spreading happiness all over the country. It was started from Multan Cricket Stadium and South Punjab didn't disappoint at all. People came in huge numbers and supported their home team Multan Sultans.

Multan Sultans also gave them a perfect reply with their scintillating performance. Multan lost the opening game against Qalandars but then made a strong comeback and won 4 in a row in their home ground. They are on the top with 4 wins out of 6.

Lahore Qalandars

A great turnaround for Lahore Qalandars since the last season when they became a champion. Now they are a team to beat on their home ground. Their bowling lineup has been phenomenal with Shaheen Afridi at the top then Harris, Zaman and Rashid Khan. David Wiese and Sikandar Raza adding more value to their bowling lineup. Now they are right on the top of the table and looking in ominous form. So they are surely on the right way in this season also. 

Islamabad United

United is the name of aggression with a lethal batting lineup with young blood. Their basic core is always the same and they strengthen their bowling also with the addition of Fazalhaq Farooqi and Tymal Mills. It has been a mixed match for them this season because 2 times they have faced the batting collapse. Shadab Khan'batting is an area of concern for them because he usually plays at no.4 and he is not firing at all. So if gets some runs then most of the problems will be solved. But there is still a way to go and they can settle it with some mind game and the right approach.

Peshawar Zalmi

Zalmi made some notable changes in their squad but we can say that they are not upto the mark yet. It has been a rollercoaster for them this season. They have won 2 and lost 3 matches so far under the captaincy of Babar Azam. They are looking into trouble because they have problems in their both batting and bowling departments. They are lacking a quality spinner also. So they to do the job to go forward.

Karachi Kings

Karachi Kings always come with higher hypocrisy but they are not up to the mark in this season also. Yes, they lost some close matches which they should have won but it didn't happen. As a result that they are a little bit under pressure. They won the last game against the hot favorite Multan Sultans by a handsome margin which definitely helps to boost their confidence.

Quetta Gladiators

The team with all the brilliance in 1st 4 seasons has been going down. Their campaign in last season was awful and they have started right from there this season also. They have got the fiery top order but their overall performance is poor. They need to find the right combination in the batting department to get the momentum and go forward.
