After 2 long years, we have finally found the finalists of the ICC World Test Championship. India will play the final for the 2nd time and Australia will play the final for the 1st time. Last time India lost the final at Lord's against New Zealand.
The tournament was played over 2 years, with 69 matches and 27 series scheduled for the league stage from which the top two teams advanced to a final. Each team was scheduled to play six series, with 3 at home and t3 away. Each series consisted of two to five Test matches. Each participant played between 12 and 22 matches. Each match was scheduled for a duration of five days.
The cycle of WTC started in 2021 with the series between India and England and then the Ashes series. Both finalists started their campaign on a winning note and hence they are in the final.
